Caroline Aiken’s career spans 36 years, starting on the coast of Georgia with musical influences from Emma Lee Ramsey of the Georgia Sea Island Singers. In 1969, she found herself in NY playing in her first rock band “Father Time, followed by performing in South America from ’73 -‘74, to the streets and venues of Seattle in the mid 70's, heading East to Greenwich Village in the early 80's and finally full circle, back to Atlanta. She is has received numerous accolades and caught the ears and hearts of everyone who hears her, including Bonnie Raitt. She opened shows for Bonnie in 1985, and Bonnie performed on Caroline’s first recording in 1988, Line Of Vision.
Cindy Bullens, Deborah Holland, and Wendy Waldman are The Refugees, a new band of critically acclaimed singer/songwriters performing their award-winning songs in glorious three-part harmony with high energy, humor, and stellar musicianship. Each performs their individual songs accompanied by the other two on guitars, bass, melodica, keyboards, percussion, mandolin, and harmonica, culminating in the creation of new renditions of their exceptional work. They have been described as a female version of Crosby, Stills and Nash with humor.
Michael ‘Hawkeye’ Herman and Frank Jones are both Oregon residents. Herman, of Ashland, has carved out a spot for himself in the contemporary acoustic blues/folk field, and has earned a reputation as one of the most accomplished artists in the genre. He served for six years on the Board of Directors of the Blues Foundation in Memphis, and was chairperson of the Foundation's education committee. His newest CD, It’s All Blues to Me, was released in May of 2005. Frank Jones is a folk music stalwart whose folk music style throws back to the 60’s folk revival with a nod to Jimmy Rodgers, Woody Guthrie and Pete Seegar. He is the ‘cultural mayor’ of Toledo, Oregon and runs a successful folk music concert series there, as well.
