Led by Jim Wrathall, $120 for six classes.

This class will be aimed at developing the ability to play guitar while maintaining a steady, independent thumb rhythm, which will free up your fingers for other wickedness. It must be said that success in this class will require daily practice of the picking elements that we learn, as we go along. We will look at the history of finger pickin' from the explosive beginnings through modern masters. Along the way, we will learn right hand patterns and techniques that will always be useful for solo, accompanied voice and group collaboration.

When you come to class, please bring: guitar, tuner, capo, fingernail clippers, fingernail file or emery board, and thumb pick that fits your thumb.

All ages welcome, basic guitar knowledge required.
